Change in eligibility in PG courses
The current university rules bar candidates from other subject backgrounds from taking admission in postgraduate courses. For example, three candidates with UG Science degree wanted to take Political Science PG course.
However, they are not allowed as they have not studied Political Science as a major subject in their UG syllabus. “We are planning to amend the existing rules and PG courses will be made available to all but with riders,” Yadapaditya said.
5 year integrated course
Under the National Education Policy-2020, Mangalore University has proposed a five-year integrated course in MBA in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Integrated MCom in Business Data Analysis and Integrated Post Graduate Degree Program in Electronics (IPGE).
All these programs have 10 semesters.
