Mandira Bedi shares that she stopped praying for a while, had no control over her emotions

Actress Mandira Bedi had a tough last year as she lost her husband Raj Kaushal to a cardiac arrest. She was trying very hard to get back to normal life and spend Tie with her two kids. In a recent interview with ETimes, the actress and television presenter opened up about her work, her kids and how she stopped praying for a time. Speaking about giving her the inner strength to post positive, Bedi said that she does not consider social media to be a place for negativity. “I get a piece of paper, write down what I want, color it and put it out there. I’m a work in progress, redoing everything. I think about starting a resume or something.” It’s never too late to gain knowledge about anything. It motivates me when I put stuff like this out there,” she explained.

When the publication asked him if he had questioned God, he revealed that he had at one point stopped praying but never questioned the Almighty.

“Things in my life have happened unexpectedly or didn’t happen the way we wanted. There’s some grace and God’s plan in that too. I took a break from prayer but now I bow my head – since morning when I I open my eyes to the upcoming lunch on my plate. I can’t believe it: Why is this happening to me? Or, why me? I had no choice but to be strong. I had no choice but to be strong. There was no option but to give a positive, happy and loving home. I had a lot of anger and negativity in my life. I have done all the remedies to calm myself down. I have worked very hard to reach that place, so Now it takes me a long time to derail. Here, my path is to outdo my kids and myself,” she told the publication.

Talking about the negativity prevailing in her life, she further said, “I was very busy, lack of sleep. I had not seen the bright side of life. Even work-wise, the ups used to make me sad. I was looking over my shoulder that my career was about to end. I had no control over my feelings. But now, I can take some time and take stock of the situation.”

She said that she has now realized that no one has control over her own situations in life, but she can be responsible for the way she reacts to those situations.

Raj Kaushal breathed his last on July 1 last year due to a heart attack. Several B-town actors paid their last respects to the filmmaker.
