Rajkot: A man from Okha got back Rs 6.9 lakh, which was debited from his bank account by online fraudsters after he alerted the cyber cell of Devbhumi Dwarka police.
Sunil Bind had received a call on July 24 night informing that his account had been deactivated. The caller asked him to download the Anydesk app. When Bind did so, Rs 6.9 lakh was debited from account the next day.
He then immediately informed the cyber crime police which traced the account and initiated ‘stop payment’. TNN
