Man dies after being hit by water tanker in Delhi Delhi News – Times of India

One person died after a water tanker was hit by a water tanker in southwest Delhi’s Sarojini Nagar area on Friday. He said that Sarojini Nagar police station received information about the accident at around 6.15 am.

The deceased has been identified as Jai Prakash Bharti, a resident of Pilanji village, who worked as a guard in a private security agency in Vasant Vihar. He was hit by a water tanker near Sarojini Nagar market. A senior police officer said that the errant driver fled the spot with the vehicle.
Bharti was taken to the hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead. Gaurav Sharma, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South West) said that a case has been registered under the relevant provisions of the law.
The water tanker has been identified with the help of CCTV footage. He said that a police team has been sent to arrest the accused.
