Man Crossing Road Hit By Car, Dies | Noida News – Times of India

NOIDA: A 60-year-old man died on Saturday after he was hit by a speeding car near Haldoni crossing of Greater Noida, officials said. Police have arrested the driver and seized the car.
The deceased, Inam Khan from Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, was a resident of Greater Noida. Vinod Kumar, SHO, Ecotech 3, said, “We received a call from a passerby about an accident near Haldoni crossing. A team was hastened to the spot. Khan was taken to a nearby hospital where the doctors declared him dead on arrival.”
Inam was allegedly trying to cross the road when he was hit by a speeding Hyundai Creta and got critically injured. “We detained the driver after seizing the car. We are not disclosing the driver’s identity, but a case has been registered under sections 279 (rash driving) and 304-A (death due to negligence) of IPC,” the SHO said.
Another man, aged 48 years, was injured when a speeding SUV rammed against his bicycle in Sector 125 later on Friday. The victim, Idris Khanis a resident of Okhla Vihar in Delhi.
