Man Chases Teen Daughter’s Abductor on Motorcycle, Accused Caught After Two-hour Search

A teenage girl’s family members chased a car on a motorcycle before a youth allegedly abducted her at the end of a two-hour search in Aravalli, police said.

Citing a complaint lodged by the girl’s family, police said the incident took place around 10 pm on Monday when the 13-year-old girl had gone outside her house in Bhondsi police station area to fetch water while her family members were watching TV. .

Then a young man came in the car and stopped outside the girl’s house. After talking to the girl for some time, he allegedly took her away, police said.

When the neighbor of the family who saw the incident raised an alarm, the girl’s father and uncle chased them on a motorcycle. Police said seeing the motorcycle following his car, the accused fled towards Aravalli on foot, leaving behind the car and the girl.

The girl’s family members also ran after the accused and finally nabbed him after a search of about two hours, he said.

The accused has been identified as Pritam (22), a resident of the same village.

Angered by this, the girl’s family members thrashed her before handing her over to the police, he said. The accused is undergoing treatment in the hospital.

Based on the complaint lodged by the girl’s relatives, an FIR has been registered at Bhondsi police station under section 363 (kidnapping) of the Indian Penal Code.

“We will arrest the accused after he is discharged. Further investigation is underway,” said Neeraj Kumar, SHO of Bhondsi police station.
