There was again a tussle between West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar on Monday. While Mamata accused the governor of being corrupt, Dhankhar said he would not be afraid of any such false allegation.
Mamta said, “I have written three letters to remove the Governor of West Bengal. He is a corrupt person, his name was in the chargesheet in the Hawala Jain case in 1996.”
Soon after the remarks, Mamata found herself with Governor Dhankhar accusing the Bengal CM of spreading misinformation. He said that it does not suit a senior leader like Mamata to make such a statement.

Jagdeep Dhankhar said, “Your governor has not been chargesheeted. There is no such document. This is wrong information. I did not expect it from a senior politician. I have not taken a stay from any court in the hawala chargesheet.” ” said.
‘I will not bow down under any circumstances. Whatever happens, I will not give up. I will do whatever I can to serve the people of West Bengal.” He said, “In Indian culture till date no one has taken action against the younger sister. I will not go that way. I am sad. Mamta ji is a mature leader. Why did he do that?”
Mamata had also questioned the purpose of the governor’s recent visit to North Bengal and alleged that a conspiracy was being hatched to divide the northern part of the state.
