Mamta Banerjee reached Delhi on a 5-day visit; PM Modi to meet opposition leaders

Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee Arrived in the national capital on Monday on a five-day visit and is likely to meet the Prime Minister Narendra Modi On Tuesday for the first time after assuming office for the third term. According to the schedule provided by the Trinamool Congress, Banerjee is scheduled to meet Modi at 4 pm on Tuesday.

She is also scheduled to meet several Congress leaders including Kamal Nath, Anand Sharma and Abhishek Manu Singhvi on Tuesday. Sources said Banerjee is likely to meet President Ram Nath Kovind and Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday.

He is also expected to meet leaders of other opposition parties during his visit to Delhi amid the monsoon session of Parliament. The Trinamool Congress supremo, who clearly strives to play a bigger role in national politics ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, is visiting Delhi for the first time after her party brought her party to power in West Bengal for the third time in a row.
