Looks like Malayalam superstar Mammootty is on a steady ride towards success. His last few films which released last year, including CBI 5, Bhishma Parvat, Rorschach and Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam were widely appreciated by the audience. Now, the 71-year-old is all set to keep us on our seats once again with his upcoming film. Mammootty has joined hands with ace filmmaker Dino Dennis for his next film ‘Bazooka’. The seemingly enigmatic title along with the first-look poster of Bazooka was recently released by Mammootty on Twitter. It didn’t take long for the poster with hi-techno vibes to catch the eye of eager moviegoers.
“Presenting the title look poster of Bazooka. Written and directed by Dino Dennis. Produced by Theater of Dreams and Saregama,” read Mammootty’s tweet. The blue colored poster looks straight out of John Wick. Mammootty in a black suit Standing in the center of the picture, his back is arched, he is surrounded by a group of marksmen who fire red, laser-infused guns at him from different angles.
But Mammootty, who is known for absolutely kicking his enemies in films, seems unperturbed even at gunpoint, standing in the face of imminent danger. His arms are crossed behind and on closer inspection, you will find him secretly holding a gun in his hand. Though his face is not visible in the alluring poster, but from his presence it can be assumed that Mammootty already has some clever plan in mind. The shadowy motel lights, along with the headlights of the cars in the poster, create a dark but stylish outlook.
Reports claim that Bazooka is presented as a complete hi-tech film, which will also strike a chord with the new generation of movie buffs. Earlier, during an interaction with OTT Play, Dino Dennis called Bazooka a “mass thriller” with Mammootty being the perfect actor to fit into the shoes of the character.
Collaboratively produced by Saregama and Theater of Dreams, Bazooka is expected to go on floors soon, reports Pinkvilla. Other details of the tech-savvy film are yet to be revealed.
