Malayalam filmmaker Shaji Kailas throws success party of Alone on sets of Hunt

When one talks about the most successful filmmakers in the Malayalam film industry, Shaji Kailas tops the list. He has shown his extraordinary talent in the art of storytelling with films like Jaana, News, Kerala Cafe and others. Since last year till now, he has successfully carved a niche for himself with three back to back hits, Kaduva, Kaapa and Alone. He is now gearing up for his much-awaited film Hunt, which is currently being shot in Palakkad, Kerala.

The filmmaker decided to make the shoot one to remember and organized the success party of his film Alone on the sets of Hunt. A picture of the cast and crew of Hunt celebrating this success has surfaced on social media. Hunt’s producer K.K. Radhakrishnan and actors Bhavana Menon, Athi Ravi, Rahul Madhav, Vinu Mohan, Ajmal Amir and Chanthu Nath were present.

For those who are yet to watch Alone, we have got you covered. Alone revolves around a man named Kalidas, who is stranded due to the pandemic while traveling from Coimbatore to Kerala. Mohanlal’s fans have showered praises on the film, calling it one of the best collaborations between him and director Shaji till date. On the other hand, critics did not take the film so kindly and criticized it as the worst film of Mohanlal’s career. According to critics, Lalayton (as Mohanlal is popularly known) failed to play his character to perfection. Even Prithviraj, the most talked about actor, has acted too much, as critics have pointed out.

Apart from the acting, other aspects of Alone such as the music and cinematography also failed to garner praise from critics. He pointed out that the background music was too loud and the shaky camerawork spoiled the rest of the fun for the audience.

The shooting of Shaji’s Hunt is going on at a brisk pace and revolves around the story of forensic science student Keerthi Jayarajan (Bhavana), who gets involved in a case where an unidentified body is found by the police.
