Malayalam film Alankam directed and written by Shani Khader and starring Lukman and Jaffer Idukki hit the theaters today. Alankam is produced by Shaji Ambalath and Betty Satish Rawal under the banner of Ziyad India Entertainments. The film also stars Gokulan, Sudhi Koppa and Sharanya R Nair, Mamukoya, Kalabhavan Haneef, Kabir Qadir, Remya Suresh and Geethi Sangeeta in pivotal roles.

The mystery-thriller genre is popular with most audiences, regardless of language or cultural barriers. South film industry has given many successful films in this category. Alankam also belongs to the same genre and has raised the expectations of the audience.

Directed by Tharun Murthy, the film also stars Sminu Sijo, Binnu Pappu, Gokulan and Sujit Shankar. Devi Varma, a newcomer, also has a prominent role in the film. Saudi Velakka is backed by Sandeep Sanon’s Urvasi Theatres.
