Malayalam actor Sreejith Ravi arrested for allegedly showing nudity to minor girls

Malayalam actor Sreejith Ravi has been arrested for showing nudity to two minor girls. The actor, who is the son of veteran actor TG Ravi, has been arrested under Section 11 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act.

The incident is being reported from Thrissur district on July 4. According to the police, Sreejeet was sitting in his car when two minor girls came along. The actor reportedly stepped out of his car and displayed his genitals.

According to Onmanorama.com, the police investigated the incident on the basis of his vehicle. The report said that Sreejeet has been booked for the incident and during investigation he confessed that he was apparently undergoing treatment for a behavior disorder.

This is not the first time that Sreejith has been booked for doing such obscene acts. It is reported that a similar case was registered against the actor a few years back as well. According to a 2016 report by NDTV, the actor was arrested after a group of 14 schoolgirls from Palakkad accused him of exposing themselves in public. At that time he got bail.

However, reportedly the matter was eventually resolved. The parents of the minor girls of the said case accused the police of sabotaging the case without gathering necessary evidence.

Sreejith made his acting debut in 2005 with the film Mayukham. However, he got his big break from the film Chanthupottu in the same year. Sreejith has worked in many Malayalam and Tamil films. These include Mission 90 Days, Punyalan Agarbatti and Punyalan Pvt Ltd. He has also worked in other South Indian regional industries. In Tamil, he was a part of films such as Vettai, Kumki, Madha Yanai Kootam, Kathakali and Asuravadham. He has also acted in a Kannada film.
