Makar Sankranti is a Hindu festival celebrated every year on 14 January. An auspicious harvest festival, Makar Sankranti heralds the arrival of spring. This day marks the change in seasons as the Sun starts moving from the Tropic of Capricorn towards the Northern Hemisphere on the day of Sankranti. To mark the festival, film stars including Rishabh Shetty, Chiranjeevi, Vijay Deverakonda and more extend greetings, and wish everyone ‘happiness’.

Rishabh Shetty took to Instagram to post a happy family picture and extended wishes on the auspicious occasion. He also wrote a note in Kannada. Megastar Chiranjeevi also penned a sweet note for everyone on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. He tweeted, “Happy Green Arches, Mungita Muggula and Makar Sankranti to all! May everyone’s life be blessed with happiness, dairy crops, bhog bhagyalu ‘prosperous’ throughout the year!”
