Raipur: In what emerged as a big mistake amid the ongoing COVID-19 vaccination drive in Chhattisgarh, recipients are getting coronavirus vaccination cards with two chief ministers. One such vaccination card shows Bhupesh Baghel and TS Singh Deo as Chief Ministers of Chhattisgarh.
Baghel is currently the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh while TS Singh Deo is the Health Minister of the state.
Meanwhile, Baghel has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting him to provide at least one crore doses of vaccines against Kovid-19 to Chhattisgarh next month.
A public relations department official said that Baghel, in his letter to Prime Minister Modi, told him that there were 9,98,810 doses of the vaccine left in the state, which would be enough for only three days.
The Chief Minister said that the vaccination campaign is being carried out at a fast pace in Chhattisgarh, the state has set a target of giving the first dose of vaccine to all the eligible beneficiaries in a month.
“Despite repeated demands, adequate stock of vaccines is not being provided to the state,” he said in the letter.
According to officials, he requested Prime Minister Modi to immediately direct the Union Health Ministry to provide one crore doses to Chhattisgarh next month.
