Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan has been released in theatres. The film, directed by Amit Sharma, also stars Priyamani and Gajraj Rao. A day ahead of the release, the makers organised a special screening for Bollywood. From Boney Kapoor and daughter Janhvi to Shabana Azmi, the who’s who of Bollywood came under one roof to cheer for Ajay Devgn and team Maidaan. Bigg Boss 16 fame Archana Gautam also made an appearance at the premiere. But, her arrival took an unexpected turn as she was stopped by a security guard.
The footage, shared by paparazzi on Instagram, shows Archana arriving on the red carpet. As she posed for the shutterbugs, a female security guard approached her and politely requested her to step aside, much to the surprise of onlookers.
The video swiftly went viral, igniting a wave of reactions from social media users. People started to question the security guard’s action. Some even thought that Archana wasn’t invited to the event.
One user remarked, “No invitation?”
Another said, “Looks like she gatecrashed.”
Now, Archana has stepped forward to clarify the incident. She explained that the security stepped in because she accidentally forgot to pick up the entry band required for the event.
Speaking of Maidaan, the film draws inspiration from the life of Syed Abdul Rahim, the esteemed coach and manager of the Indian national football team often hailed as the architect of Indian football. Ajay Devgn plays Syed Abdul Rahim in the film.
