Mahesh Manjrekar undergoes bladder cancer surgery

Actor Mahesh Manjrekar underwent surgery for bladder cancer about ten days back. According to a report in ETimes, the surgery was successful and now the actor is back at home and feeling fit. Mahesh Manjrekar was operated upon in a hospital in Mumbai.

Mahesh Manjrekar is known for his roles in films like Zinda, Run, Wanted, Viruddha.. Family Comes First, Ready and others. Apart from acting in Marathi films, he has also hosted the first season of Bigg Boss Marathi. Recently, he was shooting for Antim: The Final Truth, which is the Hindi adaptation of Mulshi Pattern. He is directing the film that stars Salman Khan and Aayush Sharma in the lead role.

On his birthday on August 16, the actor announced that his upcoming film ‘White’ will be jointly produced by Sandeep Singh and Raaj Shandaliya. Mahesh said, “I have been living with this story for almost a decade and now ‘White’ finally got its colour, when these two passionate filmmakers Sandeep and Raj joined me in creating my dream project. I And buoyed by their faith in me. Can’t wait to start giving ‘White’ its true colours.”

Also Mahesh will direct the biopic of freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. The film ‘Swatantra Veer Savarkar’ was announced on Friday on the 138th birth anniversary of the freedom fighter.

The biopic will be shot in London, Andaman Islands and Maharashtra. The cast and other details of the project are yet to be disclosed.
