Alia Bhatt and Mahesh Bhatt are not on the same page when it comes to Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Leela Bhansali when it comes to a viral video. While appearing on Season 4 of Koffee With Karan in 2014, Mahesh was asked to name a film that he feels is overrated. Mahesh takes Barfi’s name without thinking twice.
Karan Johar then asked to name a filmmaker who is overrated and Mahesh takes the name of Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Karan then asks Mahesh to name an actor who is a one-woman man and he responds with Ranbir’s name. The viral clip shows a bite from an interview given by Alia last year, where she revealed that Barfi is her favorite Ranbir Kapoor film. It also featured a clip from the promotions of Gangubai Kathiawadi in which Alia cited Bhansali as her inspiration over the years.
The video has garnered massive attention from social media users in the comments section. Many trolled Mahesh for calling Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Barfi ‘overrated’. A fan commented, “Barfi overrated?? like seriously?? Kyun bhai movie toh badiya hai.” The second comment read “Barfi and Sanjay Leela Bhansali are (very) amazing.” The third comment read “Barfi was not an overrated movie and Sanjay Leela is the best.”

Alia had worked with Sanjay Leela Bhansali in Gangubai Kathiawadi last year and it was a huge hit, with Alia’s performance being praised. She had also worked with Ranbir Kapoor in Brahmastra last year which was also a hit.
