Amidst the ongoing crisis over the Uddhav Thackeray government in Maharashtra, Deputy Speaker Narhari Jirwal has issued notices to 16 rebel MLAs, including Shiv Sena’s rebel faction leader Eknath Shinde. These rebel MLAs have been asked to reply by 5.30 pm on June 27. On the other hand, Shiv Sena has also issued notice to all the rebels for not attending the meeting of the National Executive. Party’s chief whip Sunil Prabhu has issued a notice to disqualify all the 16 rebel MLAs. On behalf of Shiv Sena, those rebel MLAs have been asked to give written reply if they remain absent till 5 pm on June 27. The notice states that if the MLAs do not respond, it will be assumed that you have nothing to say. After this, a final decision will be taken regarding the action under the legal process.
