Maharashtra Minister Bats For Vande Bharat Train from Nagpur to Hyderabad

Maharashtra Cabinet Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar has written a letter to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav demanding to start Vande Bharat Express train from Nagpur to Hyderabad.

According to a release issued by the Chandrapur District Information Office on Wednesday, Mungantiwar has said in the letter that four districts of Nagpur, Gondia, Bhandara and Chandrapur in the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra have a good trade turnover with Hyderabad in Telangana.

Though 22 trains are currently running on the Nagpur-Hyderabad route, said Mungantiwar, who is also the guardian minister of Gondia and Chandrapur districts, there should be a faster train to cover this distance of 575 km.

The Minister said that there is a need to start Vande Bharat Express connecting Nagpur to Hyderabad at the earliest to facilitate tourists, businessmen and entrepreneurs visiting the region.

He said that if the government starts Vande Bharat Express, four districts of Vidarbha will be benefitted.

Indian Railways is planning to run 75 new Vande Bharat trains by 15th August next year. Railways is aiming to make 6-7 Vande Bharat trains every month.

The first Vande Bharat Express train was flagged off on 15 February 2019 on the New Delhi Kanpur-Allahabad-Varanasi route. Integral Coach Factory (ICF) Chennai, a Railway Production Unit, has been the strength to undertake completely in-house design and manufacture, computer modeling and system integration in just 18 months working with a large number of suppliers.

The train comprises AC chair car and executive chair car coaches and offers amenities such as sliding doors, individual reading lights, mobile charging points, attendant call buttons, bio-toilets, automatic entry and exit doors, CCTV cameras, enhanced seating and comfortable seats. Will be done ,

The safety and convenience features for the passengers have been improved in the new Vande Bharat train.

The biggest safety addition in the upgraded Vande Bharat trains will be the support of Train Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) or Kavach, which prevents unsafe situations arising due to Signal Passing at Danger (SPAD) cases and overspeeding in station areas and train collisions.
