Maharashtra State Council Education Research and Training (SCERT) has designed activities for online training of extra-curricular activities through YouTube channel.
SCERT director Dinkar Temkar said, “Due to the lockdown in urban areas, the frenzied or physical activities of students have been adversely affected by the lockdown. Many students have not even stepped out of their homes for months due to fear of infection. Lack of any physical activity can lead to the development of many types of physical and mental ailments in the students. Keeping this in mind, SCERT has designed Social Science and Arts and Crafts syllabus for classes I to VIII.
All the students will get online classes called ‘Learn with Fun’ every Saturday which will start from 10th July. The aim is to ensure that students remain active throughout the day and apart from fitness, they will also get lessons in gardening and planting trees.
