A fire broke out at a unit manufacturing plastic chairs and other such products in Murbad industrial area of ​​Thane district around 9 pm on Sunday and quickly spread throughout the premises.
Thane Municipal Corporation’s regional disaster management cell chief Santosh Kadam said five fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the fire was brought under control at around 3 am on Monday.
He said that no one was injured in the incident.
He said that the cooling operation is going on and the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
