Maharashtra Budget 2022: Women’s hospital in every district, a look at the health budget

The worldwide outbreak of the Kovid-19 virus has cost people dearly. In India, while many states were able to restrict the spread of the virus, Maharashtra was by far the worst-hit in the country. It has been in the headlines for the rise in the Covid-19 numbers as well as the mortality rate in the last two years. On March 11, Maharashtra Finance Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar presented the 2022 budget in the assembly, and it looks like the government has kept its lessons in mind while preparing it. The main points of the budget related to healthcare are as follows:

The state government has allocated Rs 100 crore for capital expenditure and Rs 18 crore for recurring expenditure for setting up a 50-bed first class trauma care unit.

-8 mobile cancer diagnosis vehicles, and around 8 crore have been dedicated for this project.

It was announced that Pawar announced that women’s hospitals would be set up in all districts like Hingoli, Yavatmal, Sangli, Satara, Dhule, Sindhudurg and Raigad.

Indrayani Medicity will be established in 300 acres of land in Pune city and all the methods of treatment will be available here.

A 365 bedded regional psychiatric hospital will come up in Jalna and the estimated cost of the project is Rs 60 crore.

Telemedicine centers will be set up in all district hospitals. Later this service will be made available in sub-district hospitals.

Lithotripsy treatment for removal of kidney stones will be made available in rural hospitals, which have more than 200 beds, over the next three years. Provision of Rs. A provision of Rs 176 crore has been made for this.

– Treatment of cataract operation will also be made available in 60 government hospitals.

Innovation hub of nano, biotechnology, drone technology will be set up in each revenue department of the state.
