The Enforcement Directorate has raided the residence of Ajit Pawar’s cousin Jagdish Kadam in Pune. Jagdish Kadam is the chairman of Daund Sugars, a private sugar factory in Pune. He is also associated with some contracts in the Water Resources Department. Earlier, the Income Tax Department had raided a private sugar factory of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in Pune district, Daund Sugar, on the morning of 7 October. About 14 years ago, the Daund cooperative bought and privatized a sugar factory at Alegaon in Daund taluka. Ajit Pawar’s cousin Jagdish is the president of the factory in Kadam Nagar district. Former MLA Balasaheb Jagdale’s son and Zilla Parishad member Virdhaval Jagdale and Mumbai’s Vivek Jadhav are the directors of the factory.
