Maharashtra: 36 hours long block on Thane-Kalyan slow corridor. Thane News – Times of India

Thane: Local train services for Kalwa, mumbra, break off And Thakurli Passengers will be unavailable for 36 hours starting Saturday afternoon as the Central Railway will operate a block on the Thane-Kalyan section to complete a crucial phase of the Thane-Diva corridor expansion project.
The block will be operated from 2 PM on 8.1.2022 (Saturday) on both slow lines and will end at 2 PM on 10.1.2022 (Monday).
Officials said this is one of the largest infrastructure blocks on this stretch undertaken to cut and connect the newly laid tracks between Thane and Vitava (Kalwa) along the existing slow corridor and crossover and other allied works need to be undertaken.
All Up slow/semi fast services leaving Kalyan and all Down slow/semi fast services leaving Kalyan from 1 PM to 2 PM next to Block dadri On Saturdays from 12.54 PM to 1.52 PM will be diverted on respective fast line between Kalyan and matunga And stop at Thakurli, Kopar, Mumbra, Kalwa, Nahur, Kanjurmarg and Vidyavihar.
During the block schedule, all slow trains will be diverted on fast track between Kalyan and Mulund and skipping halts at Thakurli, Kopar, Mumbra and Kalwa in both the directions and passengers from these stations will be diverted to Thane, Diva, Dombivli and Kalwa respectively. From Kalyan one can board local trains or travel by special buses deployed by municipal corporations.
All local and some Mail Express trains originating and terminating Dombivli from this block will also be cancelled.
