The boy has been identified as Satyam Maurya. On Tuesday evening, the boy had gone outside the house to play.
But when Satyam did not return after two hours, his family members started looking for him. When Satyam’s family could not find him in that area, they started searching for him in a nearby under-construction building and his body was found in water in a pit dug for lift work.
The family later informed the Manpada police who sent the body to Rukminibai Hospital for postmortem.
Manpada police have started investigation by registering an accidental death report.
