Aadesh Bandekar, the host of Zee Marathi’s reality game show Maha Minster, has responded to the netizens who trolled the show makers for giving a Paithani saree worth Rs 11 lakh to the winner of the show.

Talking about the show, Adesh said that the show has reached more than 5500 homes and is running for 18 years.
He said that he has traveled several lakh kilometers for the show and 5500 women have been awarded the Maharashtra Mahavastra Paithani.
Aadesh said that the show has been conceptualized by Zee Marathi and since he has been in the role of host from the very beginning, every family shares a bond with him and Zee Marathi.
Adesh Bandekar further said that when the Home Minister’s show started in 2004, the weavers were leaving the village due to debt and sale of their looms.
When the Home Minister said in the show, a Paithani saree was sold every day. As the show gained popularity, eventually, one hundred Paithani sarees were sold in a day.
The order said that it has provided employment to many weavers in the vicinity.
Talking about the Paithani saree worth Rs 11 lakh, Adesh told that when he went to see the saree, he was astonished as the family of the weaver, who had woven it, could not speak properly. They couldn’t even hear. Bandekar also said that he is very happy that these weavers will get wages.
For the unversed, the popular Marathi show Home Minister is titled, Maha Mantri. According to the makers of the show, the winner of the show will be wearing a Paithani saree with a gold zari border and original diamonds engraved on it.
Earlier, when the channel shared a promo of the show unveiling the saree, a section of netizens trolled the show for giving a Paithani saree worth Rs 11 lakh as a prize. Many suggested that it was a waste of money and urged manufacturers to use the money where it was needed more.
