Madhya Pradesh Elections 2023: ‘BJP Will Form Govt With Full Majority’, Jyotiraditya Scindia

Union Minister and BJP leader Jyotiraditya Scindia asserted confidence in the party forming government in Madhya Pradesh with a full majority ahead of the counting on December 3.

“We have full confidence that in tomorrow’s counting. BJP will form the govt with a full majority in MP. Let us wait for 24 hours, the results will be in front of us,” Scindia said while speaking to reporters in Gwalior on Saturday.

Earlier today, Chief Minister and BJP leader Shivraj Singh Chouhan also expressed hope that BJP will form the government in the state with a huge majority.

“We are confident that the BJP is forming the government in the state with a huge majority. The Bharatiya Janata Party has received support from every section of the society and we are going to form the government here with an overwhelming majority,” the CM said while speaking to reporters in the state capital Bhopal on Saturday.

Polls were held for 230-assembly seats in Madhya Pradesh on November 17 and recorded 77.15 per cent voter turnout. The counting of votes will take place on December 3.

Most exit-poll projections of Madhya Pradesh released on Thursday evening put BJP in the lead, with the Congress seen to be coming up short. Some exit polls, however, gave an advantage to the Congress.

Responding to the exit polls, former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Kamal Nath claimed that some exit polls were deliberately created to disappoint Congress workers and put pressure on officers by creating a false atmosphere.
