Madhya Pradesh Board class 5, 8 results will be released online for the first time

Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) Will release class 5 and 8 results online this year. This is the first time that the results of these classes will be released. The board will release the mark sheet at mpbse.nic.in. The exam was started from April 1 and is being conducted in a single shift from 9 am to 11 am.

The examination for both the classes started with the first language paper. The board exams for class 5 will continue till April 8 and for class 8 will continue till April 9. Over 17.93 lakh students had registered for the exam, including 8.81 lakh class 5 and 8.44 lakh class 8. MPBSE has set up around 30,000 centers to ensure the smooth conduct of the examination across the state.

Board exams for classes 5 and 8 in MP were discontinued in 2007-08 after the introduction of the Right to Education (RTE) Act, under which no student could be failed in classes up to 8. However, the MP government reintroduced the board pattern. 2019-20. Some examinations were also conducted as a board, but after the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic, students were given a general promotion to the next class.

State Education Center director S Dhanaraju said this annual assessment would be done after several years. The entire system of registration of students for class 5 and 8 board examinations, selection of examination centres, roll number for examination, admit card etc. has been made online.

Due to the online process, Dhanraju said that students are appearing in the board exams from anywhere. Sumit Kushwaha, a Class 5 student of Bhopal’s Government Primary School, Bishankhedi, had appeared for the examination at a government school in Mungawali village in Sehore district. The roll numbers and online registration of both the schools were issued online. He will now be able to give the upcoming paper at the examination center of his school located in Bhopal.

A student’s performance will be assessed out of 100 marks in each subject. It consists of 60 marks for written test and 40 marks for home based project work. Candidates need to secure at least 33 percent marks in each subject to be declared passed in the MP Board exam. Those who fail to obtain the minimum required marks will be given additional tuition by their schools and will have to appear for a supplementary examination.
