Madhuri Dixit made sure Apple CEO Tim Cook didn’t return to the US without trying Mumbai’s famous vada pav. The actress revealed on social media on Monday night that she met Cook during his visit to Mumbai and took him to one of the popular outlets serving Maharashtrian cuisine. In a picture shared on Twitter, Dixit and Cook can be seen sitting at the restaurant, sharing a heartwarming moment with vada pav in their hands.
Sharing the picture, the Devdas actress wrote, “Can’t think of a better welcome in Mumbai than Vada Pav!” While Dixit opted for a casual pink kurta to beat the heat, Cook kept it formal with a white polo tee. Hours later the photo went viral, with Cook retweeting the photo with a review of the meal.
He wrote, “Thank you @MadhuriDixit for introducing me to my first vada pav – it was delicious!” A Twitter user suggested. “Try some Gujju food too,” added another.
For those unaware, Tim Cook is in India to launch Apple’s first two retail stores in the country, a significant milestone as it celebrates more than 25 years in India this week. Apple’s first two retail stores in India will open this week in Mumbai and Delhi, welcoming customers from across the country and the world to discover the best of Apple. Apple BKC will open for customers on Tuesday, April 18 at 11am IST and Apple Saket on April 20 at 10am IST.
Ahead of the launch, a party was hosted in honor of the Apple CEO and was attended by stars including Riteish Deshmukh, AR Rahman, Mouni Roy, Sooraj Nambiar, singers Armaan Malik and Farah Khan Ali.
