macOS Monterey: Apple to release macOS Monterey on October 25 – Times of India

New Delhi: Apple released the first beta for MacOS Monterey In July this year. After months of public beta testing, the company is now all set to launch the official stable version of the OS. Apple has announced that it will officially roll out macOS Monterey on October 25.
MacOS Monterey comes with a similar design to macOS Big Sur. However, the new version of the OS comes with various enhancements to the system as a whole. macOS Monterey includes a completely redesigned Safari, Shortcuts for Mac, Quick Note, and Universal Controls.
In addition, the operating system includes some new features from iOS and iPadOS 15 such as Live Text, SharePlay, Focus Mode, and others. The FaceTime feature on macOS Monterey now includes audio and video features that make calls feel more natural and alive. With spatial audio, voices in a FaceTime call sound like they’re coming from where the person is on the screen. Next is the voice isolation feature which ensures that the user’s voice is crystal clear and uses machine learning to eliminate background noise.
The brand new macOS Monterey is compatible with Macs that run macOS Big Sur. The company has revealed that the new version of the OS will not be compatible with some older models Macbook Air And iMac.
Apple recently launched a brand new MacBook Pro lineup. The new laptops are powered by the M1 Pro and M1 Max – the new chipset designed for Macs. The new MacBook Pro laptop comes with a host of new features like a Liquid Retina XDR display, a new range of ports for enhanced connectivity, and a 1080p FaceTime HD camera. With the new Mac laptops, Apple has reintroduced MagSafe 3 charging.
