Superstar Kamal Haasan has joined hands with filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj for the much-awaited Tamil film Vikram. Apart from superstar Kamal, the action-thriller features a top cast including Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil. It would be a treat to see such great actors in a film together.
The recently released Vikram trailer has already raised the anticipation. With the release date fast approaching, Team Vikram has kickstarted promotional activities and finally dropped the lyrical song for the first Telugu single Mathuga Mathuga.
To strike the right chord, the makers of Vikram released the lyrical video for the hit song Mathuga Mathuga on May 27. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the raga for the catchy tune. The major attraction is Kamal Haasan’s unmatched energy and collective action. The lyrical melody reveals that the followers will fall in love with the superstar all over again.
With Kamal Haasan stepping into the role of singer, Mathuga Mathuga instantly became an infectious song. The lyrics of the Telugu version were penned by popular lyricist Chandrabos, and were brought to life by Kamal Haasan.
The original version of the song Pathala Pathala was released earlier and it created quite a stir among the audience a few weeks back. The Telugu remake also followed suit, with Kamal Haasan gearing up for mass movements.
The Kamal Haasan starrer will be noteworthy for moviegoers as it represents Kamal Haasan’s first collaboration with new age South Indian cinema star, Suriya. Suriya will be seen in a cameo part in Vikram, and his role is estimated to be crucial. Vijay Sethupathi will play the role of the antagonist.
The film is jointly supported by the actor himself in association with R Mahendran under the Raj Kamal Films International banner. Vikram also stars Kalidas Jayaram, Narayan, Arjun Das, Shivani Narayanan and others.
The film is all set to release on June 3 in Tamil and Telugu as well.
