Ludhiana : Regarding Vaccination ADC Jagraon-cum-Nodal Officer Immunization Dr Nayan Jassal today urged the school principals, teachers and parents to encourage the children in the age group of 15-18 years to get vaccinated out of the 15-18 year olds.
He also presided over a meeting in this regard today, in which District Education Officer, District Immunization Officer besides many others attended.
from this point of view covidThe Central Government had started vaccination for people in the age group of 15-18 years with effect from January 3, 2022. So far, a total of 79986 children have received the first dose, while 5071 children have received the second dose.
Dr Nayan Jassal said that parents should encourage their children to get vaccinated as vaccination helps in fighting against covid, even if one gets infected. He said that in the larger interest of the society and to ensure that our children remain safe, parents should get their children vaccinated at the earliest.
He said that special vaccination camps are being organized in schools to cover more and more children in the age group of 15-18 years. Apart from this, children can also go to any other camp if they want to get vaccinated, he said.
Dr Nayan Jassal said that those who have not yet received the second dose of vaccination should also come forward and get themselves fully vaccinated. He said a large number of residents have yet to find their second job. COVID-19 Vaccination, because sadly such people believe that COVID-19 is a thing of the past, which is not true.
He said that some people still have a misconception that Covid19 vaccination is not safe and hence they are not coming forward. “Such people should understand that if one wants to travel to any part of the world, they need a Vaccine Passport Certificate, which they will get only if they are fully vaccinated,” he said. Even in Pakistan to visit the Gurdwara in Sri Kartarpur Sahib, they need to be fully vaccinated.
