Ludhiana: Khanna police arrests 12 members of Mussa Gang, arms and ammunition recovered | Ludhiana News – Times of India

LUDHIANA: Khanna police has arrested twelve members of Mussa Gang and recovered cache of arms and ammunition including nine pistols.
The accused were identified as Hardeep Singh alias Moosa, Lakhvir Singh Lakha both of Dehleez Road in Malerkotla, Dheraj Batta of Khanna, Harchet Singh Chetu of Guru Harkrishan Nagar of Khanna, Sandeep Kumar Boxer of Mintu Kewal Street in Uttam Nagar of Khanna, Amninder Singh Prince of Gulmohar Nagar of Khanna, Mandeep Singh Bunty of Samrala Road in Khanna, Ankush Sharma Bharadwaj of Krishna Nagar of Khanna, Manish Kumar Delhi of Sector 22 Sangatpura in Fatehgarh Sahib, Jagwinder Singh Jampy of village Jallowal in Fatehgarh Sahib, Ranjit Singh Jeeta of village Seh in Samrala and Gurpreet Singh Pappal of Iqbal Nagar in Mandi Gobindgarh.
Police officials said that the accused were arrested as part of Khanna police’s crackdown on gangsters by joint team of City Khanna police station and Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) staff. They added that the Mussa gang was active in areas including Ludhiana, Khanna, Jagraon, Nawanshahar, Mandi Gobindgarh, Kharar and SAS Nagar.
Addressing mediapersons in Khanna on Tuesday, SSP Khanna, Ravi Kumar said that the members of Mussa Gang were arrested by joint team of city Khanna police station and CIA Khanna on the basis of secret information and nine pistols including five .32 bore and four .315 bore, 61 cartridges comprising ten .315 bore and fifty one .32 bore, two baseball bats, two iron swords, an iron rod and a knife were recovered from them besides police also seized two vehicles, a Maruti Swift Dzire car and Hyundai I-20 car.
SSP said that the accused were involved in more than seventy cases and gang members have cases like murder, assault, attempt to murder, extortion, robbery, rioting, burglary, drug peddling, possessing weapons, etc against them. He added that one of the gang members Kulwant Singh Lala of Malaud was earlier booked in a case of murder at Samrala police station.
