Ludhiana: Drunk constable threatens to shoot female doctor, hospital staff Ludhiana News – Times of India

Ludhiana: Samrala police on Thursday arrested a drunken policeman for allegedly misbehaving with a woman doctor and threatening to shoot her and her staff at a government hospital. The accused has been identified as Rajewal’s ASI Parminder Singh who is posted at Kitchlu Nagar police post.
Osho Balgan, medical officer in the emergency ward of Samrala Civil Hospital, alleged that Parminder visited the hospital on Wednesday night at 12 pm, describing himself as additional SHO at PAU Ludhiana. He had complained of nervousness. While he was being investigated, the constable misbehaved with him and the staff. When the employees tried to convince him, he threatened to kill him. The complainant said that he also admitted that he was under the influence of alcohol and challenged them to conduct his own investigation.
The medical officer further said that the police officer tried to nab the ASI, but he became very aggressive. He said that later, more police force was called in and he was arrested.
Meanwhile, in a viral video, the ASI was heard threatening to shoot the staff. Further, the police officer kept threatening him that he would report about him to Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and show a video which he was making.
assistant inspector Prakash MasihThe SHO of Samrala police station said that the police have been arrested on charges of assault or criminal force to deter the government servant from discharge of his duty and criminal intimidation among other sections. The SHO said that the accused, who was posted in charge of Kitchlu Nagar outpost, had left at 11 pm on Wednesday night.
Police officials said that she had complained of anxiety and as soon as the doctor started examining her, she started misbehaving with the staff.
Meanwhile, in view of the incident, the medical staff demanded protection. He also demanded strict action against the ASI.
