LSG Team Preview IPL 2022: With bags full of all-rounders, Lucknow is all set to start its IPL journey

The Indian Premier League (IPL) has always been full of entertainment as and when new teams are introduced; The level of enthusiasm goes up several notches. The upcoming season is going to be bigger and more extraordinary as fans will see 10 teams fighting for the title. Lucknow Super Giants is one of the two newly launched franchises. 15. beforeth The tournament season has begun, let’s analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the KL Rahul led team.

LSG – the owners of the RPSG Group – are not new to the business of franchise cricket. Back in 2016, when Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals were banned for 2 years, they started Rising Pune Supergiant, led by MS Dhoni and then Steve Smith. Four years later, they came up with a new team representing Uttar Pradesh, a state that is participating in the tournament for the first time.

Strength: Be it spin or fast, Lucknow’s bowling unit looks splendid. He picked Ravi Bishnoi before the auction and then spent a whopping sum of Rs 10 crore to get Avesh Khan on board. Apart from them, the inclusion of Dushmant Chamira, Deepak Hooda, Mayank Yadav, Ankit Singh Rajput and Karan Sharma strengthens the team’s attack.

The main attraction of this team is the bunch of all-rounders from different corners of the world. He picked Marcus Stoinis before taking on Jason Holder, Krunal Pandya, Shahbaz Nadeem and Kyle Meyers. Each of them has also produced with the bat but his reputation is more as a bowler.

Weaknesses: Bowling a lot of bowlers and all-rounders means less number of pure batsmen. The flag bearer of the batting unit is the captain himself but after that the options are limited. Quinton de Kock, Evin Lewis and Manish Pandey are the remaining capped batsmen with good international experience. Players like Manan Vohra, Mohsin Khan and Aayush Badoni are good players but they lack exposure.

The situation will either make the team more dependent on all-rounders when it comes to scoring runs. This would be a good chance to take but the guarantee of a positive result is minimal.
