Relatives say that the lover is the father of the woman’s unborn child.

Police said Murphy is not the father of the deceased 2-year-old.

The bodies, believed to be those of 24-year-old Kylen Johnson and her 2-year-old son Kayden, were found on the afternoon of Monday, March 14.

The family of Kaylen Johnson asked the Baton Rouge Police Department to conduct a health check on March 11 because Johnson and his 2-year-old son, Kayden Johnson, had not been traced since March 5.

When officers made it inside the apartment, they found no sign of any disturbance, according to the arrest warrant.

The family nevertheless tried to reach Johnson but his cell phone was disconnected and calls could not be made.

The report goes on to say, officers learned that Johnson was in a relationship with Brian Murphy and, when questioned, denied knowing about the whereabouts of Kaylen and her son, according to the report.

Police said the couple is believed to have gone missing on March 5 “based on information from Murphy.”

According to the BRPD, there were several things that led them to believe there was something wrong.

“It was suspicious in nature. We found his car without a license plate. And from there he raised an eyebrow. One of the people approached him, he refused to give information and from there he disappeared,” said the sergeant. McNeely.
