Lotus winter strike rate in Kolkata in second week of Paush, snowfall in mountains on Christmas

The winter powerplay began at the beginning of Paush. However, the Poush 7 fell in the second week after the Powerplay and the winter strike rate has dropped somewhat in this environment. The Christmas season was much ‘warmer’ than the previous ten days. At the same time, in yesterday’s bulletin of the Meteorological Department, it was said that the minimum temperature in Kolkata is going to rise by the end of Christmas. Meanwhile, snowfall occurred at many places in the mountains yesterday due to western storm. Sandkanphu and Tiger Hill received the first snowfall of the season yesterday.

Kolkata and adjoining areas recorded the maximum and minimum temperatures at 25.6 and 14.4 degrees Celsius, respectively, on Saturday. The minimum temperature of mercury remained normal but the maximum temperature was 1 degree below normal. Meanwhile, even after Saturday and Sunday, people are likely to visit various places of interest in the city. However, the residents of the city will not be able to enjoy the winter atmosphere. The temperature will be high on Boxing Day and the mercury will be high in Tilottama. Although there was a dense fog on Sunday morning, the sky will remain sunny as the day progresses. The maximum temperature in Kolkata today is likely to be around 28 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature is around 15 degree Celsius. On the other hand, in many western districts of the state, the temperature has dropped below ten since last week. The Meteorological Department says that this winter will continue for the next 2-3 days.

Meanwhile, the mercury will rise this week. On December 31, the minimum temperature in Kolkata may touch 16 degrees. The westerly winds have prevented the winds from entering the north. And so the mercury is rising. Wearing winter clothes during the day can be uncomfortable. Cold and heat can have a debilitating effect on the body. Meanwhile, there is no chance of rain in South Bengal for the next few days, hence the sky will remain clear.
