After the win, the 21-year-old took to Instagram and celebrated his performance by posting a picture of his scalp of Glenn Maxwell, as he rejoiced in the moment.

Mayank Yadav believes he can fly. Well, he sure did so last night as the fiery pacer and his deliveries left the RCB batters breathless as he blitzed through their ranks with a sensational Player of the Match-winning three-for at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.

Yadav, with his relentlessly menacing pace, scalped the likes of big hitters Cameron Green, Glenn Maxwell, and Rajat Patidar, as he notched up a magical spell of 3/14 in 4 overs to help LSG cruise to a comfortable 28-run win.

After the win, the 21-year-old took to Instagram and celebrated his performance by posting a picture of his scalp of Glenn Maxwell, as he rejoiced in the moment.

‘”Look mom, I can fly,” read the post shared by the Lucknow pacer on Instagram.

He sure is, in all senses though, as Mayank is now the talk of the cricketing circle worldwide.

With the unprecedented rise of Lucknow Super Giants’ 21-year-old youngster Mayank Yadav, the entire cricketing world has once again shifted their focus onto the youngster and millions tune in to witness nothing short of a fiery blitzkrieg being brought down upon those who dare to face the pacer.

The right-arm quick bagged a second consecutive 3-wicket haul in the ongoing tournament, registering the third-best bowling figure this season. Days after clocking 155.8 kph against Punjab Kings, he bettered his own record for the fastest ball of IPL 2024 at 156.7. He’s now only the second Indian pacer, after Umran Malik, and fifth overall to go past 156 clicks in the IPL.

There is much left to be explored with respect to Yadav though. But, with two sensational Player of the Match outings, where the pacer clinched a couple of three-fors consecutively, and continues to menace all with his consistent and unrelenting pace, the future sure looks bright for Yadav, who has lofty ambitions of breaking into the Indian cricket team in time.

The next challenge for young Mayank will be to take on the batting ranks of last year’s runners-up Gujarat Titans, who Yadav and LSG will face on April 7, Sunday at home in Lucknow.
