Loki Episode 6: Did you notice the Bollywood song in the season finale of the Marvel series?

To put it in simple terms, Loki episode 6 was a roller coaster ride. Tom Hiddleston’s God of Mischief and his many variations served up drama, romance, betrayal, suspense and Bollywood connections, could you ask for more than the 40-minute finale episode? We don’t think so

It was one of Marvel’s most anticipated season finales, given after Loki episode 5 with questions and cliffhangers. But turns out, the one week wait was well worth it. What’s more, as it was a surprise for Bollywood fans.

The opening shot of Loki Episode 6 introduces viewers to several events taking place on the universe’s timeline. We hear from many Marvel characters like Thor, Falcon, Black Panther, Ant-Man, Black Widow, Star-Lord, Captain America, Captain Marvel and Vision to name a few. The sequence has also been spoken by real-life celebrities like Neil Armstrong, Greta Thunberg, Malala Yousafzai and Nelson Mandela.

The scene progresses with heavy bass beats. If you listen closely, you will hear the Bollywood song “Swag Sah Nahi Jaye” from Happy Phir Bhag Jayegi (2018) starring Sonakshi Sinha. Though it initially seemed like a mistake, it was confirmed in the end credits where the makers mentioned the Bollywood song.

Penned by Mudassar Aziz, “Swag Saha Nahi Jaye” is sung by Sohail Sen, Shadab Faridi, Neha Bhasin.

Bollywood fans were naturally excited to hear the song in the final episode of Loki season 1. Here’s how he shared the excitement on Twitter:

Meanwhile, Disney+ has renewed the hugely popular Marvel television series ‘Loki’ for a second season. The announcement was made on Wednesday during the final credits of the sixth episode and season one finale. The credits revealed a case file that had a red stamp reading, “Loki will be back in Season 2.” No additional details were shared about the upcoming season.
