Actor Tom Hiddleston and his fiancee Jawe Ashton are soon to become parents. Ashton recently made an appearance on the red carpet for his film Mr Malcolm’s List where he can be seen flaunting his baby bump. The actress was seen in an off-shoulder chiffon gown for the premiere in New York on Wednesday. Her co-stars Freida Pinto, Soap Dirisu, Theo James and Siennad Gregory, as well as director Emma Holly Jones, were also at the premiere.
The Loki actor confirmed his engagement to Ashton in an interview this month. Speaking to the Los Angeles Times, he said, “I am very happy.” They started dating in 2019 after meeting on the sets of their drama Betrayal. However, this couple has always remained silent about their relationship.
Interestingly, apart from Tom, his fiancee is also going to be a part of Marvel Cinematic University. She will be seen in The Marvels which is slated to release next year. Meanwhile, Tom is also gearing up for the second season of his standalone series Loki. He was last seen in The White Darkness and The Essex Serpent.
During the 2022 BAFTA Awards, Ashton was seen with a ring on his finger, fueling engagement rumours. People had then confirmed that the couple got engaged.
A source reportedly told PEOPLE in March, “They were very private in public, but behind the scenes, you could just see a lovely chemistry. Both had sparkles in their eyes and the whole company, including Charlie Cox, was very close. And being British abroad, he would hang out frequently. Zave and Tom show a lot of affection for each other, and you can also see that their onstage performance is a bit lacking.
The source also told PEOPLE that Tom has always been a very private person. “Behind the scenes, they’ll just be privately affectionate and hugging and sitting next to each other and holding hands.”
