Munawwar Farooqui has been making headlines ever since Kangana Ranaut emerged as the winner of the controversial reality show Lock Up. Earlier this year, it was confirmed that the comedian will be participating in stunt-based reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi 12. However, if recent reports are to be believed, Munavvar has now backed out of Rohit Shetty’s show.
The shooting of Khatron Ke Khiladi 12 has started and all the contestants are in Cape Town (South Africa) for the same. While celebrity contestants including Shivangi Joshi, Mohit Malik and Prateek Sahajpal are leaving behind the scenes pictures and videos on social media, Munavvar is nowhere to be seen.
Amidst all this, on Wednesday (June 8), Munawwar Farooqui held an Instagram live session for his fans. While the comedian thanked fans for showering love on his new song, he did not reveal anything about Khatron Ke Khiladi. This has again left everyone wondering whether Munawar will be seen in a stunt based show or not.
Earlier, E-Times also reported that Munawwar was facing passport issues to travel to Cape Town. However, the manager of the lock up winner later confirmed that it has been resolved. “Munawwar will travel this week. He is going into Khatron Ke Khiladi 12,” the manager had said.
Meanwhile, Khatron Ke Khiladi 12 will be hosted by none other than filmmaker Rohit Shetty. The upcoming season will mark his seventh collaboration with the franchise. Celebrities who will be seen on the show this season include Bigg Boss 14 winner Rubina Dilaik, Lock Up winner Munawwar Farooqui, Prateek Sahajpal, Rajeev Adtiya, Nishant Bhat, Shivangi, Sriti Jha, Kanika, Mohit, Chetna Pandey, Jannat Zubair, Mohit Malik Are included. and choreographer Tushar Kalia. The stunt based show is likely to be shot extensively in Cape Town for about two months. After this the show will air on Colors TV in the month of August.
