LIVE: West Indies vs England, 1st Test, Day 3 at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, Antigua: Latest Updates, Commentary & Scorecard

West Indies vs England, 1st Test, Day 2 Antigua Live Updates: After bowling out England for 311, the Craig Brathwaite-led West Indies displayed controlled batting as they posted 202 for 4 at stumps on the second day. As the game progresses on the third day, the hosts will try to build the momentum and end the 109-run deficit as quickly as possible.

Jason Holder and Nkrumah Bonner revived West Indies with an unbeaten 75-run stand till the opening stump after faltering 127-4.

The pair took no risk and stood no chance, and safely managed a massive toothless England attack. Holder, 43 not out, and Bonner, 34 not out, put together 75 runs on the field at just two runs per over, until they were interrupted by the fourth shower and the stumps were pulled.

His stance was the opposite of a quick start to the innings.

Brathwaite and Campbell cruised after lunch and hit 13 fours and a six, until Campbell’s demise ended their stand at 83. Campbell was out on the leg side for 35. Brathwaite reached his half-century in just 62 balls but was dismissed for 55 by pacer Mark. wood.

With 83 for no loss, West Indies suffered a 44-4 loss in 16 overs and a brilliant start was in danger of being ruined. But Holder and Bonner block brilliantly and punish anything loose.

They were survived nine consecutive maidens by reverse swing and spinner Jack Leach, but pressure was not applied from either end.

For England, Jonny Bairstow came down from 259 balls with 109 to 140 before he was last man out, high to backward point.
