The accused Ghaus Mohammad and Riyaz Jabbar, who killed Taylor in the Taliban way in Udaipur, were caught from Bhima area of Rajsamand district, 170 km away. The events of the capture of these killers were also dramatic. Both tried their best to escape, but eventually got caught in the trap laid by the police. A video of the killers being caught (watch the video by tapping on the photo above) has also surfaced. As soon as the accused were caught, the police thrashed them fiercely.
Know how the killers were caught
- After the massacre, the police in and around Udaipur became active.
- Rajsamand police had received information that both the accused had fled on a bike towards Bhim-Devgarh area. On this their location was traced.
- Blockade was done outside the Dak Bungalow in Bhima on National Highway-8.
- Seeing the police here, both Bhim entered the town. The motorcycle-riding accused escaped through the town and came on the highway in front of the college via Badnore intersection.
- From here we started going towards Ajmer.
- On this, the Bhim-Devgarh police, chasing the accused, caught both of them at Adawala turn before Jassa Kheda at 6.30 pm.
Reached Rajsamand from Udaipur on bike
As soon as the input of both of them being near Rajsamand, Rajsamand SP left Udaipur himself wearing a helmet on a bike and reached Bhim-Devgarh area of Rajsamand. The police of Udaipur and adjoining districts were active since the incident. Strict blockade was put in place in these areas. Ten teams of police were chasing the accused.
During this, Ghaus Mohammad and Riyaz Jabbar started running after seeing the police, then both were caught on the road. The police beat both of them fiercely on the road with kicks and sticks. Then grabbed the hair and put it in the car.
The accused Riyaz and Ghaus Mohammad were arrested from Bhim area of Rajsamand district. Both were trying to escape from the bike.
At midnight, a mob of 500 surrounded the police station, took the police to an unknown place
Rajsamand police took both of them to Bhim police station at around 8 pm. Earlier, as soon as people came to know about this, a large number of people gathered outside the police station. Angry people started shouting slogans. The crowd started demanding that the accused be handed over to us. On this, once the police drove the crowd, but then seeing the atmosphere deteriorating, the hands and feet of the police swelled. It is being told that after this the police took the accused to an unknown place.
As soon as the news of the arrest of the accused was received, people started gathering outside the Bhima police station. The crowd started demanding that the accused be handed over to us.
The accused Gaur Mohammad and Riyaz had left Udaipur wearing helmets.
SIT formed, team will investigate
Seeing the matter getting worse, internet service has been stopped in the state. At the same time, two big police officers from Jaipur have also been sent to Udaipur. Here, late night SIT was formed to investigate the matter. The team will consist of ATS-SOG ADG Ashok Rathod, ATS IG Praful Kumar and a SP and ASP.
