Runs came in the last two overs.

Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and elected to field against Rajasthan Royals. Both the teams decided to remain unchanged for the mega clash. However, Sanju Samson felt it was a bit different from the track he played in the last few matches. Whereas dew is going to play a big role in this match and RR will have to control it.

IPL 2022 is a battle royal on Tuesday as table-toppers Rajasthan Royals take on Faf du Plessis Royal Challengers Bangalore in a high-octane clash at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan have dominated their first two matches of the season as they are very organized on the field as well as on paper. After just two matches, he is being considered as a contender for the title this year. Bangalore, on the other hand, had a mixed start to the season where they lost the first match to Punjab and then picked up the pace by defeating in-form KKR.

In the first two matches, RCB failed to put up a collective performance, with the batsmen posting 205 on the scoreboard in the PBKS clash but the bowlers failed to defend it. In the second match, it was the exact opposite when he struggled to chase down 129 runs after a disciplined bowling performance.

For Rajasthan, opener Buttler is in fine form and can do to put up any attack, as he did on his way to a memorable century on Saturday. However, he will need the support of fellow opener Yashasvi Jaiswal and one-down Devdutt Padikkal, who will be itching to score runs.

After his fifty in the first game, RR captain Sanju Samson was unable to convert the starts against Mumbai Indians. Knowing his ability to hit sixes at will, Samson will be eager to continue and lead from the front.

On the bowling front, RR is unlikely to tinker with its combination. Trent Boult, Prashant Krishna and Navdeep Saini held their nerve against Kieron Pollard and were right on the money. Ashwin and Chahal’s eight overs can turn the game and their contribution can prove to be decisive.

For Bangalore, their bowlers led by Sri Lankan leg-spinner Wanindu Hasaranga did their job to perfection against KKR. While Hasaranga will be crucial in stopping Samson & Co, pacers David Willey, Akash Deep and Mohammad Siraj, who took four wickets against KKR, will need to put up a good show again.

Also death overs specialist Harshal Patel will have to put in his best if RCB aim to include a powerful RR batting unit. Batting more than bowling has been a matter of concern for RCB.
