Little Over 150 Covid Cases in 24 Hours, Active Infections Dip to 4,345

India logged 165 new coronavirus Infections, while active cases further declined to 4,345, according to data updated on Tuesday by the Union health ministry.

The total number of Covid cases is 4.46 crore (4,46,73,783).

The death toll has climbed to 5,30,633 with two deaths reported in Kerala and one in Delhi in the last 24 hours, updated at 8 am.

Active cases comprise 0.01 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has risen to 98.80 per cent, according to the ministry’s website.

A decrease of 89 cases has been registered in the active COVID-19 caseload in a span of 24 hours.

The number of people who recovered from the disease increased to 4,41,38,805, while the death rate was recorded at 1.19 percent. According to the Ministry’s website, 219.94 crore doses of Kovid vaccine have been given so far in the country under the nationwide Kovid-19 vaccination campaign.

India’s COVID-19 tally crossed 20 lakh on August 7, 2020, 30 lakh on August 23, 40 lakh on September 5 and 50 lakh on September 16. It had crossed 60 lakhs on 28th September, 70 lakhs on 11th October. Crossed 80 lakhs on 29th October, 90 lakhs on 20th November and one crore on 19th December. The country crossed the grim milestone of two crore on May 4 last year and three crore on June 23. It crossed the four crore mark on January 25 this year.
