Accusing Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Leader of Opposition and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, has said that the ministers of the state are involved in the liquor business in Bihar. Speaking to the media, Yadav said, “Those who sit next to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar are engaged in this work. How many MLAs, how many ministers are engaged in this, everyone knows who they are. Whom is the government asking? Why? ? Don’t you go and check yourself?”

His remarks came in response to the allegations of Janata Dal United (JDU) in which ministers had asked that if Tejashwi Yadav has any evidence of liquor being sold in Bihar, then he should provide it to the government.

The Leader of Opposition further alleged that the prohibition of liquor in Bihar is just a hoax.

Nitish government should tell how many new liquor shops opened in Bihar after 2005 and how many liquor shops were there in Bihar before 2005. What major action has been taken so far, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar should tell. Home delivery is being done. everywhere. The question Nitish Kumar is asking me, he should tell what action is being taken now.”

Further, taking a dig at JD(U)’s special programs on November 24 to mark the completion of 16 years of Nitish Kumar’s good governance, Yadav said, “In which respect has Bihar become unmatched? In unemployment, in prohibition, in crime. Education is wasted in the rate, so dogs roaming in the hospital, not a single factory was set up in 15 years, there is flood and drought in Bihar.

Talking about repeal of three agriculture laws, he said, “The fight for Minimum Support Price (MSP) is on. The central government should look into that. Farmers are asking for guarantee on MSP and the government should provide that.” I also appeal to the Center that 25 lakh more jobs should be given to the kin of the farmers killed during the protest. The Bihar government should also give 5 lakh rupees to the farmer’s family.

Recently, a total of 32 people have died in the state due to consumption of spurious liquor in Muzaffarpur.

Last week, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar directed state officials to take strict action against government employees caught in a case related to violation of liquor ban, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Chaitanya Prasad told PTI.

Nitish Kumar had also said that after the prohibition of liquor in Bihar, the crime rate has come down and he is standing against liquor.
