Light Rain In Delhi Brings Down Temperature, More Showers Likely On Monday

New Delhi: Light rain lashed parts of Delhi on Sunday, with the maximum temperature settling at 28.7 degrees Celsius, 10 notches below the season’s average, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said. IMD’s Safdarjung observatory recorded 0.3 mm of rain, while Palam and Lodhi Road recorded rainfall between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm.

The minimum temperature in the national capital was recorded at 22.8 degrees Celsius, a notch below normal.

The IMD said the relative humidity ranged between 71 and 56 per cent.

The weather office has predicted a generally cloudy sky with very light rain and thundershowers on Monday, accompanied by gusty winds with a speed of 25-35 kmph.

The IMD said the maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 28 and 21 degrees Celsius, respectively.

On Saturday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 22.2 degree Celsius and the maximum temperature at 33.1 degree.
