‘Liger’ star Vijay Deverakonda says Mike Tyson lovingly abused him on set; reveals he had a good time working with the legend – Times of India

Vijay Deverakonda has been busy promoting his film, ‘Liger’ in the past few weeks with his co-star Ananya Panday. He recently spoke about his experience of working with the boxing legend Mike Tyson in the film.

In an interview with IANS, Vijay revealed, “He abused me a lot, albeit lovingly, in English and I can’t even repeat what he said to me. But yes, I had a good time with him.” Talking about the diet of the legendary boxer, he added, “His diet is somewhat similar to Ananya.”

Vijay also spilled some beans on Mike’s love for Indian food and its diverse culture. The actor shared, “He loves India a lot for its food, music and people. In fact, he used to ask us to bring Indian food for him which he enjoyed a lot. But yes, he is scared of the crowd here. Once he came here and stayed only in the hotel, as he was scared of the crowd that gathers at the airport or any other place.”

Ananya also spoke about bonding with Mike on the sets during the shoot. According to her, they both loved the food so they had a great time bonding on the set. The actress also revealed that one thing that she learnt from the legend was to never say no to anything in life.

‘Liger’ is a pan-India movie that releases today in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam. It also features actors like Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy and others in key roles.
