Liger: Glimpses of Vijay Deverakonda’s film breaks records across India

The much awaited glimpse of Pan India star Vijay Deverakonda’s much awaited film LIGER (Saala Crossbreed) was launched as a New Year gift for the fans. The video gives the audience a glimpse of the adrenaline pumping MMA fight sequences in the film and also shows the struggles of ‘Slum Dog of the Streets of Mumbai’ and ‘The Chai Wala’. Liger Glimpse has now set a new benchmark for upcoming Pan India Films with record views in 24 hours. The video actually broke the previous best in just 7 hours, with it garnering 16 million views in 24 hours. This video is top trending on YouTube.

The first glimpse of ‘Liger’ begins with an MMA commentator introducing Vijay as “the boy from India, Slumdog from the Mumbai, and the chaiwala… Liger”. Also, the clip hints at the background of ‘Liger’, Vijay, who is posed as a ‘Chai Wala’. In the video, the 32-year-old actor is seen strolling the streets of Mumbai with his mother, played by actress Ramya Krishnan. Watch the video here:

With some impressive dialogues, Vijay adds a lot of appeal to his introduction in the video. Director Puri Jagannath, who is known for portraying his heroes in stylish best avatars, showcases Vijay Deverakonda in a never-before-seen action avatar in this pan India project. With a different and trendy look, Vijay switched to beast mode for the character and his makeover left everyone stunned. Hinting at his complete physical makeover, Vijay flaunts a chiseled physique and sports an entirely new cornrow hairdo with a ponytail.

Ananya Panday‘Liger’ stars Mike Tyson, Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy, Vishu Reddy, Ali, Makarand Desh Pandey and Getup Srinu in pivotal roles.

Vishnu Sarma is handling the cinematography for Liger, while Kecha from Thailand is the stunt director. Puri Connect and Dharma Productions have jointly bankrolled ‘Liger’ along with Puri Jagannadh, Charmme Kaur. Karan Johar, and Apoorva Mehta as producer.

Made in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages, the film is scheduled to release in cinemas across the world on August 25, 2022.
