PM Modi Kerala visit: Kerala Police and security agencies have started probing a letter threatening to carry out a suicide bomb attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his two-day visit to the state beginning Monday to attend various events including flagging off the Vande Bharat Express train. given. ,

The anonymous letter threatening the Prime Minister was received by BJP state president K Surendran at the party office in Kerala. Surendran handed it over to the police last week. The letter was reportedly written in Malayalam by a person from Kochi.

Around 2,000 policemen have been deployed in the cities of Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi, following death threats. The news of the threat letter came to light today after a report by ADGP (Intelligence) was circulated in the media.

Police traced a man named NK Johny, whose name and number were in the alleged threat letter, today said he is innocent. He told the media, “The police have questioned me. I have given them all the information. They have checked the handwriting and everything.” His family said that they suspect another person in the area, behind the letter, there is some controversy over a matter related to a church.

Threatening letter to BJP state president

As soon as the news came out, Surendran met the media and said that he had handed over the threat letter to the state police chief a week ago. The intelligence report said, “Last week, the President, BJP State Committee, Kerala, received a letter written in Malayalam threatening to use a suicide bomber for the Honorable Prime Minister of India.” The report also states that the veracity of the letter and the person behind it are being probed.

Surendran alleged that the “leak of intelligence reports” from the police was a serious blunder and should be probed. The 49-page report details the names of officers on duty, their roles, a detailed schedule chart of the prime minister, among other things.

Union Minister of State V Muraleedharan also condemned the alleged leak of the ADGP (Intelligence) report and said it was a serious matter. Muraleedharan alleged, “The chief minister should explain how a report on the security details of the prime minister was leaked and went viral on WhatsApp. This means that the state home department has collapsed.

PM Modi’s visit to Kerala

The Prime Minister will flag off Kerala’s first Vande Bharat Express between Thiruvananthapuram and Kasaragod at Thiruvananthapuram Central Station. This train will cover 11 districts namely Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Pathanamthitta, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod.

The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone and dedicate to the nation various projects worth over Rs 500 crore. 3200 crores. The Prime Minister will dedicate the Kochi Water Metro to the nation. This is a first of its kind project that connects 10 islands around Kochi through battery operated electric hybrid boats for seamless connectivity with Kochi city. Apart from the Kochi Water Metro, rail electrification of the Dindigul-Palani-Palakkad section will also be dedicated by the Prime Minister.

During the event, the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stones for various rail projects, including the redevelopment of Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhikode and Varkala Sivagiri railway stations; Comprehensive development of Thiruvananthapuram area including Nimon and Kochuveli and increase in sectional speed of Thiruvananthapuram-Shoranur section.

Apart from this, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of Digital Science Park in Thiruvananthapuram. The Digital Science Park is envisaged as a premier research facility for developing digital products and services by industry and business units in collaboration with academia. As a third generation Science Park, the Digital Science Park will have common facilities to support the development of products in the field of Industry 4.0 technologies such as AI, data analytics, cyber security, smart materials etc. The state-of-the-art infrastructure will support high-end applied research by industries and co-development of products in collaboration with universities. The initial investment for Phase-I of the project is around Rs. 200 crores while the total project outlay is estimated to be around Rs.1515 crores.
